The Establishing Meeting of the Chongqing Sports Medicine Association
Special Committee and the 1st Meeting of the Committee of the Whole was successfully
held in the International Academic Conference Hall of the Southwest Hospitalon on
August 18, 2014. Guests attending the opening ceremony included: Mr. Yungui Wang,
Vice President the Third Military Medical University; Prof. Yingfang Ao,
Director of National Sports Medicine Institute; Prof. Qiming Chen, Department of
Orthopedics, Chinese University of Hong Kong; Prof. Chen Shiyi, Director of the
Sports Medicine Center, Shanghai Huashan Hospital; Prof. Yujie Liu, Orthopedic
Sports Medicine Center of the PLA General Hospital; Prof. Jian Li, Department of
Orthopedics, West China Hospital Affiliated to Sichuan University; Hong Zhou,
Secretary-General of the Chongqing Medicine Association, etc., as well as members
of the Committee and fellow experts in hospitals of Chongqing. Experts from the
Center for Joint Surgery of the Southwest Hospital, such as Prof. Liu Yang,
Associate Prof. Xiaojun Duan, Associate Prof. Lin Guo and Lecturers Guangxing Chen,
as well as other hospitals were invited to lecture during the meeting.
The successful convening of the meeting fully demonstrated the academic
influence of the Center for Joint Surgery of Southwest Hospital, which played a
very positive role in promoting the development of sports medical service in
Chongqing.
