Mr. Nelson F. SooHoo, Professor of Center for Orthopedic and Ankle Surgery and
Director of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University of California, Los
Angeles, is invited to give a lecture and as a visiting professor in the Center
for Joint Surgery, Southwest Hospital, to promote the future of academic ankle
development. Zhongcheng Guo, vice president of the Southwest Hospital and other
chief directors of the hospital attended the appointment ceremony.
Professor Nelson F. SooHoo was named as one of the best ankle medical experts by
"American News and World Report". In 2014, he was given the 钬淩oger Man Award" by
the American Orthopedic Ankle Society. Mr. SooHoo is especially good at a variety
of complex ankle surgery, and has published more than 30 papers in JBJS and other
important journals as the first author.
The appointment of Professor Nelson F. SooHoo as a visiting professor in our hospital
will promote the development of foot and ankle surgery in China and the US.
